- 4 cups frozen strawberries, thawed and drained
- 1 cup juice from strawberries and water to yield
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups flour
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 Tbsp shortening
- 1 cup milk
Preheat Oven to 375 F
Combine juice, sugar, cornstarch and cook until mixture thickens. Add lemon juice, cinnamon and strawberries. Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish or baking pan. Mix remaining ingredients to make biscuit dough and drop onto fruit. Bake 35-40 minutes. Enjoy warm with ice cream or cream.
